The second Sunday in July is Sea Sunday, July 14 this year, and in the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches we pray for seafarers and the Missions that help seafarers: the Mission to Seafarers, the Apostleship of the Sea and the International Sailors Society. You may want to sing the Mariners’ Hymn, ‘Eternal Father, Strong to Save’ and say a prayer, prayers and worship resources can be found on www.missiontoseafarers.ca. If a congregation would like to take up a special offering for the Mission to Seafarers, we have suitable offering envelopes that we can provide as well as a pamphlet, ‘Information for Friends’; please contact Canon Ed at flyingangel@tbaytel.net.
