Archbishop Anne is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Derek Neal as part-time Incumbent for St. Mary Magdalene, Sturgeon Falls, effective June 1, 2024.

In addition to two undergraduate degrees and a Master’s Degree, Rev. Neal has a Ph.D in History and a Master of Divinity Degree from Wycliffe College. He is bilingual in both French and English.  He is a full-time history professor at Nipissing University and currently serves at St. Simon’s (Temagami) and Holy Trinity (Temiscaming PQ).

We ask that you uphold in prayer Rev. Derek and the people of St. Mary Magdalene as they prepare to begin this new ministry together.  We, also, ask for prayers for the people of St. Simon’s and Holy Trinity as they prepare to say goodbye to a beloved priest and move into a liminal time.
