Archbishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Claire Miller as Incumbent of Christ Church (Lively) and St. John the Divine (Copper Cliff) effective January 5th, 2023.

Rev. Claire is presently serving as the Incumbent for Holy Trinity (Sault Ste. Marie) and as Regional Dean for Algoma Deanery.  She has been a priest in the church for over 20 years.  She has close ties with Manitoulin Island where she grew up so she is very familiar with all things Algoma.  She enjoys working with children and young people and sees herself as an ‘ambassador of reconciliation’ with indigenous peoples.  Fostering positive relationships within the parish setting is very important to her as is her relationship with ecumenical faith communities.

We uphold Rev. Claire in prayer and the people of Christ Church and St. John the Divine as they prepare to begin ministry together.  We, also, pray for the people of Holy Trinity who will prepare to say farewell to a beloved priest and will look to engaging in conversation with hope as they move forward with ministry in the Sault.
