Prayers Requested – Rev. Canon Rosalie Goos
Your prayers are requested for the Rev. Canon Rosalie Goos who suffered a severe stroke over the weekend whilst in Muskoka. She loved staying at the cottage on the lake at Christ Church in Gregory and was to lead worship there on Sunday morning.
Canon Rosalie’s devoted son Mike is with her and she has received the ministrations of the church through the visitation of Archdeacon Baetz. At this time visitors are restricted to family only.
Canon Rosalie is a much loved priest and pastor in Algoma having served in numerous parishes over the years including St. Thomas’s in Bracebridge, All Saints, White River, St. James, Goulais River and the parish of St. Joseph and St. George and St. John’s Garden River.
In her retirement years she led services of worship at St. John’s Garden River, St. Paul’s Wawa, Holy Trinity SSM during the interim – always bringing her love of music and words of encouragement through her sermons.
We pray that as she rests Canon Rosalie will experience the peace of Christ as it comes to her through the loving care of human hands in the days ahead; and that Mike will know the care that is all around him and be given the strength to meet the days ahead.
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.”
Psalm 121
I remain yours in Christ,
