New Administrative Assistant
Dear friends in Christ,
I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Ms. Carla MacEwan as our new Administrative Assistant, effective July 15th, 2024. I invite your welcome and your prayer as Carla assumes her new role and as she orientates herself to this new position in our diocese.
Carla is a graduate of Algoma University with a degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. She has a Certificate in Office Administration – Executive, from Sault College and another in
Construction Carpentry. She is also a registered mortgage broker. Carla’s whole career since 2008 has been in office administration in a small office environment.
In the interview we found Carla to be professional in her approach to her work, a very social person (she describes herself as an extrovert), an excellent communicator and someone with the skills to perform the many tasks and responsibilities of the position for which she has been appointed. Carla is a lifelong learner, eager to learn all about ‘church/and’ and the Diocese of Algoma. She is looking forward to meeting ‘the diocese’ as she enters a new relationship with us and responds to calls and emails. I know you will be understanding and patient as Carla learns the ways of the Anglican Church of Canada.

In her spare time Carla enjoys team sports, particularly volleyball and martial arts. Carla is married and has one son.
