Thorneloe University Announces New School of Theology Provost
The Board of Governors of Thorneloe University are pleased to announce the appointment of The Very Rev. Dr. Jay Koyle as Provost of Thorneloe University. Dr. Koyle will assume his new role on a part-time basis on June 1, 2024.
The Provost will function as the chief academic administrator of the university and serve as the Director of the School of Theology and Dean of the Thorneloe Chapel. The Provost will work
collaboratively with Stacy Sathaseevan, Interim President and Jessica Lamirande, Executive Administrator and Registrar.
Dr. Koyle holds a Doctor of Ministry from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary as well as degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Western University. Dr. Koyle has been attached to the Thorneloe School of Theology as an Adjunct Professor for the past year. He continues to also serve as an adjunct professor at Huron University College in London and has held numerous other academic posts over the past 30 years. He is an ordained presbyter (priest) according to the rites of the Anglican Church of Canada. He will continue to serve in his full time ministry as Dean of Algoma and Incumbent, St. Luke’s Cathedral in Sault Ste. Marie.
