Lenten Quiet Afternoon hosted by Thunder Bay/North Shore Deanery
Thunder Bay/North Shore Deanery invites you to their zoom Lenten Quiet Afternoon on Saturday, March 12th from 1 -3:30 p.m. The theme is The Seven Grandfather Teachings as Invitation into a Lenten Practice. Bishop Riscylla Shaw, area bishop for Trent Durham in the Diocese of Toronto, will offer teachings on Wisdom, Love, Respect, Bravery, Honesty, Humility and Truth and there will be time for quiet, personal reflection. Bishop Riscylla grew up in Algoma and has strong roots in the church, the land, and her Métis heritage. She has served on a number of national commissions for the work of reconciliation including the national TRC and production of the award-winning film “The Doctrine of Discovery”. Currently she works with the National Indigenous Anglican Church in reconciliation with the colonial church.
