Archbishop Anne Germond announces that she has accepted the resignation of the Rev. Aidan Armstrong from Church of the Ascension, Sudbury, effective April 30th, 2021.  He has accepted a position as rector of St. George’s, London, in the Diocese of Huron.

In a letter to the parish yesterday, Rev. Aidan shared these sentiments…

“The Ascension is truly a special community of love and care and it has been a privilege and honour to be your priest for these last three and half years. I have never seen a community of such Christian care and support and it has been a true blessing for me and my family to be part of it. From the day I arrived at the Ascension you have cared for me and my family and for that we will always be thankful.”

We congratulate Rev. Aidan on his new appointment and wish him, Rev. Sarah, and their family all the best as they prepare for this new ministry.  Prayers from your Diocesan family with go with you!
