We pray for Bishop Geoff Woodcroft and his family as they mourn the death this week of Bishop Geoff’s father Jack. In a note from the Diocesan Office of Rupertsland, Susan Suppes writes…..

It is with sadness and hope that Bishop Geoff has advised of the death and new journey of his Dad, John “Jack” Woodcroft, the age of 83 years, on January 7, 2020.  Geoff flew to Ontario to be with his Dad on January 1, when he was hospitalized with heart-related issues.  Not been an easy week, but Geoff has been able to be with his Dad and family through this past week.  We ask your prayers for the family:  Jack’s wife, Pat, along with Geoff, and Jenn (and family) as well as Geoff’s siblings, Sheila, Liz and Dave and their families.  No funeral ceremony is planned, as per Jack’s wishes, but the family encourages one and all to give thanks to God for Jack; for his dedicated and generous service in various clubs and health-related associations and councils.

 When we reflect on God’s goodness, pure gratitude wells up in our hearts for all God has given to us.  Let us give thanks for the life of Jack Woodcroft.
