Here we go!

Are you interested in participating in a mission trip to our sister diocese of Tarime Africa?

This trip will take place June 24th to July 8th, 2020.

The purpose of this mission trip is to provide support to the building of a girls’ secondary school in Tarime while also being involved in other aspects of African life in the Diocese . Bishop Mwita has indicated that there are some skills areas that would be helpful in the mission group.  These skills include in part:  construction, sewing, planning of children’s instruction (ages 4-10), clergy educational support and water filtration. Whatever skill you bring will be put to good use.

The Algoma Diocese is committed to raising a minimum of $25,000 to support the building of the girls’ school which is now well underway. If fund-raising is your area of interest please speak with your clergy. If you have someone on your Christmas List that you would like to thank, perhaps a donation to the school is something you would like to consider.

There is a power point presentation now available to church and community groups by contacting

Ven. Marie Loewen at revmarie1952@icloud.com or Ven. Roberta Wilson-Garrett at rwilso@xplornet.com.
