FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT THE ‘COMPUTER’ TYPE…..

There are several Youth Ministry books that are great resources for your church.  You can buy them over the internet, or contact Rev. Heather Manuel at the Synod Office for ordering information.

i) “Help! I’m a Small Church Youth Worker!” by Rich Grassel

This is a great book!  An absolute must-read for small-church youth workers.  You can buy it through www.amazon.com for about $15.

ii) “Help!  I’m an Urban Youth Worker!”  by Ginger Sinsabaugh

Another great one, definitely intended for ‘big cities’, but with a lot of tips and strategies that can be applied to youth ministry anywhere.  Try www.amazon.com for about $15.

iii) “Get ‘Em Talking: 104 Great Discussion Starters for Youth Groups”

This great resource is brought to us by Mike Yaconelli and Scott Koenigsaecker, two experts in youth ministry.  It’s perfect for people who want ideas for planning the content of youth group sessions. Buy it at www.amazon.com for $20.

iv) “Videos that Teach: Part 2”  by Doug Fields and Eddie James

This resource has Bible-based theme talk for 75 popular movies.  Each talk is based on a clip of the movie, so you can watch the whole movie or only a bit of it if your group is pressed for time.  By it at  www.amazon.com for $20.

Take some time to study these Youth Ministry resources - they are worth the effort!  If you have any questions or concerns about Youth Ministry in your church, please contact your Deanery Youth Coordinator, or the Reverend Heather Manuel at programyouthalgoma@yahoo.ca.
