C. Execution of Documents
Canon C-1:THE SEAL OF THE SYNOD
the seal of synod:
1. The Seal, an impression of which appears in the margin, is and shall
be the common Seal of the Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of Algoma.
execution of documents:
2. a) The Bishop, acting together with either the Chancellor, Registrar
or Treasurer, is authorized to execute all deeds and documents which must be sealed, and
which, from time to time, must be executed on behalf of the Synod, further to any
resolution of Synod, the Executive Committee or any other Committee of Synod.
b) In the event of the Bishop's absence from the Diocese, or inability
to act, the Bishop's Commissary is authorized to execute deeds and documents under this
section. (Amended 1971).
execution of previous documents:
3. All deeds and documents affecting the temporal interests of the
Diocese heretofore attested by the Bishop, and sealed with the Bishop's official seal, are
hereby acknowledged as the deeds and documents of the Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of
Algoma, and binding on that Synod.
