We extend our congratulations to the Rev. GailMarie Henderson on the successful oral defense on March 30th of her dissertation:
"Transformative Conversion in a Canadian Rural Anglican Congregation: Challenges and Responses session. A Case Study on St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Ravenscliffe, Ontario."
As many of you are aware, GailMarie has been working towards this day for some time and she has been consulting with many within the Deanery of Muskoka as well as across the Diocese.
She wishes to express her appreciation to those who assisted with this undertaking:
"Thanks to God for all those who walked with me on this journey of learning, with special thanks to the congregation of St. John the Baptist in Ravenscliffe who taught me more than they will ever know; to the memory of Stan Pratt of St. Matthew's in Sault Ste. Marie who opened my eyes to a new way of looking at ministry when I was a summer student with them; and finally to my husband, Jeff, who has put up with more than anyone could ever imagine and for being my anchor and my wings for 45 years.
It is my deepest desire that this work will be of benefit to the Church, to this diocese and to God's people wherever they are."
