Bishop announces new appointment

Posted: Dec 12, 2017

Bishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Sarah Armstrong as Part-Time Curate at Church of the Epiphany in Sudbury commencing on September 1, 2018.  Sarah will be under the mentorship of the Rt. Rev. Tom Corston, current Interim Incumbent, for a period of one year.

Sarah and her husband, the Rev. Aidan Armstrong, have recently become new parents to William.  They are living at the Church of the Ascension rectory as Aidan is the new Incumbent of the parish.  Sarah is presently on maternity leave.

Sarah is a recent graduate of Wycliffe College, completing her M.Div. in May 2017.  She was ordained deacon on September 20, 2017 in Founders Chapel at Wycliffe.  Many of you will know her as the Deanery Pastoral Worker for Sudbury-Manitoulin and as the Diocesan Indigenous Worker for Sudbury – Manitoulin Island.

We encourage Sarah and Aidan to enjoy this special time with their new son.  We will welcome Sarah to her new role in the fall and ask that you uphold her in prayer as she prepares to undertake this new ministry following her leave.
