Posted: Sep 14, 2017

Clergy are invited to robe and process (cassock and surplice - copes are welcome for Archdeacons).  The liturgical colour is red.

Bishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the upcoming ordination, God willing, of Sarah Jackson Armstrong to the diaconate at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Founders’ Chapel, Wycliffe College. Bishop Stephen Andrews, Principal of Wycliffe, will be the ordaining bishop on behalf of the Diocese of Algoma.

The Reverend Doctor Christopher Brittain, Dean of Divinity at Trinity College, will be the preacher.

Clergy are invited to robe and process. The liturgical colour is red.

Sarah recently graduated from Wycliffe with her M.Div. She was appointed as Diocesan Indigenous Worker (Manitoulin Island) and as Deanery Pastoral Worker for the Sudbury-Manitoulin Deanery. She is married to The Rev. Aidan Armstrong, Incumbent of the Manitoulin Island Parishes and they are expecting their first child.

We ask that you uphold Sarah and Aidan in prayer as she prepares for ordination.
