Bishop announces new appointments

Bishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the following appointments in the Diocese:

THE REVEREND PAMELA RAYMENT as Full-Time Incumbent of Emmaus Anglican Church, Sault Ste. Marie, effective August 1, 2017. This appointment will also include oversite of St. John’s, Garden River, and mentorship for their newly appointed Lay Pastor,

Pam was the Incumbent of St. John the Evangelist in Sault Ste. Marie prior to the merger with St. Matthew’s and the creation of Emmaus. She is currently Priest Associate of Emmaus, Incumbent at St. John’s, Garden River, Deanery Child and Youth Ministry Facilitator and Program Associate for the Deanery of Algoma. Her new position is a direct appointment by Bishop Anne at the request of Emmaus Anglican Church parishioners. Pam is replacing The Reverend Patrick McManus who has accepted an Incumbency in the Diocese of Toronto. Pam is married to Jeremy and they have one son, Logan.

SUSAN MONTAGUE KOYLE as Part-Time Lay Pastor for St. John’s, Garden River, effective August 1, 2017. Susan is currently the Warden of Lay Readers in the Deanery of Algoma. She has a BA (Hons: English) from Trent University; a BEd from Queen’s University and has been enrolled in School of Theology courses at Thorneloe University since 2012. Prior to her move to Sault Ste. Marie, she was a Special Education Resource Teacher of a self-contained classroom for students with intellectual and behavioural difficulties for the District School Board Ontario North East.

Susan comes to our Diocese from the Diocese of Moosonee where she is well known for her contributions and involvement in the spiritual life of the Diocese in various leadership roles and committee memberships. She is married to our Diocesan Congregational Development Officer, the Rev. Dr. Jay Koyle, and has two sons, Kevin and Stephen.

We ask that you uphold Susan, Jay, Kevin, Stephen, and St. John’s in your prayers as she prepares to undertake this new ministry in the Diocese.

THE REVEREND DOCTOR GAILMARIE HENDERSON has been re-appointed as Part-Time Interim Incumbent of the Parish of Muskoka Lakes effective July 1, 2017.

We ask that you uphold GailMarie and the Parish of Muskoka Lakes in your prayers as they continue ministry together and look to future possibilities within the Deanery of Muskoka.
