The Reverend Rhonda Hirst is the new Lead Chaplain at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Archdeacon Anne Germond, in reporting the appointment, writes, 'Rhonda’s special gift of compassionate listening, as well as her ministry of prayer and presence to people at a difficult time in their lives, has been a blessing to so many over the years. We wish Rhonda continued fulfilment and the assurance of our prayers as she begins this new ministry today. Chaplains remain great partners in our ministry of pastoral care for God’s people.'
Rhonda has been serving the Sudbury health care system as Chaplain since 2004, and is an Honorary Assistant at Church of the Ascension, Sudbury. A graduate of Huron College, she came to the diocese in 2002 after serving parishes in the Diocese of Niagara.
