The Diocese of Algoma - Anglican (Episcopal) Church of Canada | St Brice's, North Bay, prepares to welcome new Incumbent Sunday Jun 16, 2019

Bishop Andrews is pleased to announce the appointment of The Venerable Peter Armstrong as the new Incumbent of St Brice’s Church, North Bay, effective 1 March 2015. Peter comes to us from Nova Scotia, where he was made Deacon in 1989 and ordained Priest in 1990.

An Annapolis Valley boy, Peter attended the University of King’s College, Halifax, where he received his B.A. (Hons). Following a stint as a labourer in England, he attending Wycliffe College, Toronto, where he graduated with an M.Div. in 1989. It was in Toronto that he met his wife, Nancy. He then served in a rural parish with seven congregations, followed by a parish in Halifax. In 2006 he took up the charge of three parishes in Nova Scotia around the community of Stellarton. He has served the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in a variety of capacities, including as Archdeacon of the Chebucto and Northumberland regions, successively. He is an Alpha Coach, and has nearly completed the requirements for his Doctorate of Ministry at the Toronto School of Theology on the subject of team ministry. He and his wife have two adult daughters.
