Congratulations – and farewell!

Posted: May 26, 2011
The Rt Rev. Tom Corston, Bishop of Moosonee, has announced that Elizabeth Sipos will be placed in a ministry position under supervision for the summer with a possibility of appointment to an incumbency as of September. This follows a recommendation from the Advisory Council on Postulants for Ordination meeting this past weekend in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Elizabeth received a BA in Music from Laurentian before attending Wycliffe College where she got her M.Div. For the past year she has been part-time Pastoral Assistant at Christ Church, Lively and St. John the Divine, Copper Cliff, as well as the Assistant Chaplain at Thorneloe University. She will be leaving her position as Pastoral Assistant at the end of June.
We want to take this opportunity to thank Elizabeth for her ministry in the diocese and to wish her God’s richest blessings in this new chapter.  In the meantime, Christ Church and St. John the Divine are actively searching for a new Pastoral Assistant. Click here for the particulars, or contact The Rev. Glen Miller at 705-561-0450.
