Prayers Requested for Tarime Team

Posted: Jan 8, 2014

We ask your prayers and material support for Tarime Mission 2014.

On July 2nd a group of committed individuals will take their gifts and their devotion to Christ to share with the people of Tarime. This two-week mission is at the invitation of Bishop Mwita Akiri in Tarime, Tanzania. The group will focus on the building of churches that are already at varying stages of construction and on raising funds to help purchase building supplies and motorcycles for clergy so that they can meet the needs of their parishioners in extremely large and remote parishes. Bishop Mwita has also asked that the team simply come and be with the African people to see what their life is like and the challenges they are facing.

Members of the team may be planning for some fundraising in the next few months. Please support these committed individuals in your parishes and pray for them as they step forward in faith, that God will guide them in their missional journey.

Mission Team: Bishop Stephen and Fawna Andrews, The Rev. Henk and Rev Beth Willems, Archdeacon Dawn Henderson, The Rev. Marie and Rob Loewen, Sue Speller, Kayla Reszitnyk, John and Linda O'Neil, Sam Sumner and The Rev. Roberta Wilson-Garrett.

We have just received pictures of the Bunchari Church which benefited from 'roof money' sent from Algoma!
