The Diocese of Algoma - Anglican (Episcopal) Church of Canada | Update on Ramesh Ferris Tuesday Oct 17, 2017

Dear Bishop Andrews,

I hope this message finds you well? I have two announcements I thought you and the Diocesan Members in Algoma would like to hear!

In the beginning of June I had the honour of meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu in his home in Cape Town, South Africa. I was able to share my polio survivor story with him. Archbishop Tutu is a polio survivor himself and so he welcomed the great news of how close we are to eradicating polio.

I have attached a photo of our visit!

The other big news is that I have recently been married to Dagmar Musilova.

The ceremony was on July 1st in Ottawa. My dad presided over the ceremony with the assistance of The Rev. Nancy Ringham, and The Rev. Cathy McCaig (former Algoma Diocesan Youth Coordinator)

When my father was first installed as the Bishop of Algoma at St. Lukes Cathedral in 1995- I was just a 15 year old high school student finding myself in the world! I thought Diocesan members would like to be updated on how I'm starting the next chapter in my life with Dagmar!

Wishing you great health and continued success on your own journey!

Take Care,

Ramesh Ferris
